4x Wide-angle Zoom Nikkor ED Lens

The 4x optical zoom lens uses Nikon's world renowned optical technology with two ED Glass elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and get you sharp, crisp pictures, and deliver clear, crisp images. The lens is capable of taking wide angle shots with a focal range of 28-112mm (35mm equivalent). There is also a 4x digital zoom that can be combined for a total zoom of 16x. The lens also supports macro shooting with the capability to shoot as close as 1.6 inches.

Optical Vibration Reduction Image Stabilization

Nikon In-Camera Innovations

The Coolpix P6000 incorporates Nikon In-Camera innovations including In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, Face Priority AF, and D-Lighting. The Nikon In-Camera Red-Eye Fix system automatically corrects for most instances of the red-eye effect that is commonly caused by the use of a built-in flash on a compact camera. The Face-Priority AF system automatically detects and achieves sharp focus on people's faces wherever they are in the frame for crisp, sharp portraits. The Nikon D-Lighting feature can rescue underexposed images or shots taken with too much backlight by automatically brightening the dark areas in the picture, while maintaining the brighter areas of the image.

Movie and Voice Recording

GPS Capability
