Which version of Windows will be installed on my computer? 

Our computers come with a mixture of Home & Pro Windows product license keys. If you'd prefer to receive a computer with either of these versions, please leave a note at checkout when placing your order. Alternatively, once you've placed your order, you're welcome to request this by contacting our dedicated support team on 1300 727 516 or by sending an email to: cs@australiancomputertraders.com.au

Do you repair units that weren't purchased from you?

We certainly do! Our retail store in East Brisbane can repair most desktops and laptops computers. Give them a call or pop into the store and have our technicians take a look at it. Most repairs take anywhere from 3-5 business days, however some repairs may take longer if parts need to be ordered in.

Can I sell you my PC or Laptop?

Unfortunately, we don't buy devices from the general public. We can however accept donations, and help recycle computers to help reduce the amount of e-waste within Australia. 

What currency are the prices listed on your website in?

All the prices listed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD). Please note that currency conversion rates may apply if you are shopping from outside of Australia. The final amount charged to your account may vary based on your financial institution's exchange rates and any applicable fees. Check out our accepted Payment Options for more information.  

What is the difference between refurbished and second-hand?

Refurbished computers are previously used products that have been returned to the certified refurbisher for a comprehensive evaluation, repair, and restoration process. These products are meticulously tested and restored to a like-new condition, meeting the manufacturer's quality standards. 

Second-hand computers, on the other hand, encompass a broader range of conditions, spanning from like-new to heavily used. They are sold in their existing condition, without necessarily undergoing any formal restoration or quality checks. The quality and condition of second-hand items can vary significantly, and they may or may not include warranties.

At ACT, we offer both refurbished and second-hand products. We take pride in our rigorous quality assurance process, ensuring that each device is thoroughly tested and graded to eliminate any potential issues.

Will I Receive a paper copy of my Tax Invoice with my order?

To help reduce our environmental impact and minimise waste, we no longer include paper copies of tax invoices with our orders. We are committed to sustainability and believe this small change can make a significant difference in our environmental footprint.

You can easily access and download your digital tax invoice by heading to the My Orders section of our website. This approach not only helps the environment but also ensures that you have a quick and convenient way to retrieve your invoices whenever needed.


What condition are your products?

All products are Refurbished A-Grade condition unless otherwise specified. Occasionally, we receive devices that aren't quite up to A Grade specification, these are sometimes listed under our Value + section, which is a separate part of our website dedicated to B Grade items. Please see our device Our Refurbishment & Quality Grading Process guide for more information. General wear and tear is to be expected, however you won't receive anything that is damaged to the point it compromised the functionality of the device.

How can I troubleshoot an issue with my computer?

All of our refurbished computers go through our rigorous refurbish and QC process, so there shouldn't be any issues with your order. On the rare occasion that a fault does occur, our dedicated support team are here to assist. You're welcome to call our team on 1300 727 516 anytime Mon-Fri between 7:30am—4pm (AEST). We have also developed a comprehensive Technical support hub, filled with Windows & Apple device troubleshooting guides, and has the answers for a lot of common questions.

Your Order

Can I cancel an online order that I've placed?

Our goal is to deliver top-quality service at a fast pace. Our dedicated dispatch team are committed to shipping out your orders as quickly as possible. However, we understand that unexpected issues may arise from time to time.

In case you need to adjust or cancel an existing order, we're here to help. This could include updating your delivery address, altering the items in your order, or switching your payment method. Please reach out to us immediately in such cases.

However, we need to make it clear that we can't always guarantee changes or cancellations will be possible. Our commitment to quick service means orders may be processed and packed or handed over to the courier in a short span of time. When that happens, we can't make alterations.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Typically, orders leave our warehouse in 1-2 business days (for detailed delivery timeframes, please refer to our Shipping & Pickup page). Please be aware that special sales, bulk orders, and events like EOFY or Black Friday may extend processing times. Once your order is dispatched, delivery times depend on the shipping company. We'll send you tracking information to monitor your order's progress. If you need a product urgently, please contact us for processing time details before ordering.


How quickly will I receive my device once it has shipped?

In most cases, orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days from our warehouse. Once the order has been processed, you will receive an order tracking notification via email.
Shipping can take anywhere from 2-10 business days, depending on your location and the delivery company used. For more information on shipping, please see our Shipping & Pickup guide.

International Shipping

Do we ship to your location outside of Australia? Australian Computer Traders offers global shipping services, and the cost of shipping is determined by factors such as your destination, package size, and weight. Our extensive list of shipping destinations includes countries like New Zealand (NZ), Papua New Guinea (PNG), the Philippines, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Singapore, the United States (USA), the United Kingdom (UK), Canada, Dubai, India, and many more!

Please be aware that any additional customs or duties charges are not covered in the shipping fees. It is the responsibility of the customer to settle these charges upon receiving the package. Customs regulations differ from one country to another, so we advise you to consult your local customs office for detailed information regarding potential charges before placing your order.


Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes! All of our products come with a standard 12 Months Return to Base warranty. This means that if anything happens to the unit within the first 12 months from the date of invoice, we will repair the unit or replace it if a repair isn't possible. What if I want additional warranty coverage?

We offer an option to extend the warranty period on select laptops and desktop computers. You can extend the warranty from the standard 12 months to a total of 24 months for an additional cost of $95. This extended warranty provides you with added protection and peace of mind for a longer period beyond the initial 12-month warranty. If you're interested in extending your warranty, please inquire about this option at the time of purchase or contact our customer support team for further assistance.
