What is ECC RAM and why does it matter?
ECC stands for Error-Correcting Code. ECC RAM continuously monitors data being processed and automatically corrects single-bit memory errors before they can cause a crash or data corruption. For most everyday computing tasks this makes no difference — but if you're running long renders, complex simulations, large datasets, or mission-critical applications where a crash costs hours of work, ECC RAM is a significant advantage. All of our Xeon-based workstations support ECC memory.
Can I use a workstation for gaming as well as professional work?
